Have you ever wished you had a someone who could guide you or your child through the process of becoming a top athlete? Then you've come to the right place!
Mentoring, in its simplest form, is people helping people; it means helping,
advising, teaching, counselling, instructing, and guiding another person.
A mentor is someone who helps us learn the ways of the world. In this case, the game of hockey and everything around it.
Mentors have a tremendous amount of personal and professional experience.
Through professional experience, the mentor has "inside knowledge" of an
organization's norms, values, and procedures.
Access to this knowledge allows the protegé the opportunity to develop
more quickly than if he did not have access to the information, and to
receive support during his development.
In other words we know what coaches & scouts want to see.
