The intelligent player is the one who understands the flow of the game. He has identified the limited number of possibilities that exist at any time and narrowed them down to 1st & 2nd best alternatives.

To be successful in hockey you have be able to have a good perception, situation recognition, cue identification, diagnosis, and also be able to anticipate what will probably happen next.
This is "Hockey Sense" and can be attributed to either a: team, block, unit, or individual player.

We believe that an educated & prepared player can be integrated quicker & to a higher degree in a team environment than one left to adapt on his own.
We feel that we must balance individual skills with small group, block and team play. This should be done in a co-ordinated pre-defined fashion.

We believe that most players left to develop by themselves will encounter many more difficulties than one taught the dynamics & principles of the game in a structured way.
